William "Bill" Matheson
Bill Matheson is a character in Marmalade Boy. He doesn't appear in the manga and is only a character in the anime.
Bill first appeared in episode 54.
Bill is in love with Jinny. At first, she thought that he was gay and liked Brian. It turned out, the reason he hung around Brian was to get closer to her. Yuu became uncomfortable by this and thought that Bill was interested in him. He likes astronomy and looking at the stars in the loft.
In episode 64, Bill asked Jinny about what she did and said to Miki. Jinny tells him what happened while passing it off as telling Miki a "joke", and he gets angry and says she has no idea what she's done. When Jinny responds by telling him the situation has nothing to do with him, he slaps her and says Miki and Yuu may actually break up because of how desparately she wants Yuu. Jinny runs upstairs crying and Doris takes a moment to talk with her.
In episode 69, Jinny saw Bill and Anju talking to one another at the beach while she was gliding. Seeing them together bothered her so much that she couldn't sleep because of it. Bill confessed his love to her and she reciprocated. She began dating him since then.
He befriended Anju when he and Yuu ran into her in New York.
